Reading: Not reading anything right now! I finished the book I was telling y'all about last week. I need to pick up another book!

Watching: Gilmore Girls 💗

Thinking About: There is honestly so much on my mind right now.

Planning: My Christmas decor! I got my parents house decorated, now it's time to decorate the grandparents house! Going to work on that today!

Loving: Penguin Christmas ornaments. Because every Christmas tree should have a penguin ornament. 🐧

Reading: Growing up I used to love reading mystery books. My Mom was a huge fan of mystery books, and she really influenced me to check out the genre. I went to the library last week, and came across so many authors that I grew up reading. I've always been a very advanced reader, my Mom and I would often share books because I was already for those books. That being said I picked up Killer Riff: A Molly Forrester Novel by Sheryl J. Anderson. I love Sheryl's writing style and I just love all of her books.

Watching: I'm loving Ben and Lauren's show on Freeform!

Thinking About: How excited I am that my first article got posted on Odyssey! I was so nervous to post it. God has put so much on my heart, and He wants me to share it with other people my age. You can read it here

Planning: So many things that I want to tell you guys about, but just can't yet! 😢

Loving: Cappuccino. Because it's freezing here in the Midwest. Also loving edible cookie dough. It's kind of addicting though.

Coffee Chat: Volume 12

1. This picture just looks so cozy! I would love to be drinking coffee and be snuggled in blankets right now. But instead, I'm sitting at my desk typing away at this blog post and working on other projects.

2. It turned into fall/winter basically overnight. Literally overnight. It was 76 degrees yesterday and now it's 42.

3. I bought a Christmas tree yesterday! It's just a small tree for my room. It's white and I got silver ornaments. It's so freaking cute!! Pictures soon.

4. I feel like my life is in boxes right now. I've been staying at my parents house for most of November, and they're remodeling their house. Right now they're mostly just trying to get the kitchen done, but eventually they are moving on to other rooms. So things are packed away and it's almost impossible to find anything. It's kind of annoying.

5. Really need to get back to writing my book. I've been trying to stay away from it for a few days because I really haven't been inspired. But I need to get back to writing this weekend.

Hope you guys have a great Friday!

Thanksgiving Table Decor Inspo!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? I know that I can't! It doesn't seem like it should be time for Thanksgiving. Here in the Midwest, we definitely haven't been having normal November weather. It feels more like September outside! I haven't even thought about what I'm bringing to my family's Thanksgiving dinner yet. Starting to think I should probably get on that pretty soon haha! One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving (besides the pumpkin pie 😉) is the table decorations. I think having a beautiful table really just sets the theme for Thanksgiving. There's nothing I love more than sitting around a beautifully decorated table with my family, enjoying delicious Thanksgiving foods. Today I thought I'd share some of my favorite table decorations.

Hopefully this post gives you some inspiration on how to decorate your table for Thanksgiving! Hope y'all have a great Thursday!

Ins & Outs #10!

It's been awhile since I've done an ins and outs post, so I thought it would be a fun post idea for today!

Ins:

-Reading

If you guys read my post from yesterday, then you'd know that I went to the library. I got six books, which I couldn't believe that I did that! My goal is to get all six of them read before they have to be returned in December. I ended up finishing The Boy Is Back by Meg Cabot last night, and started on the next book, which I'll talk about next week in my Currently post.

-Christmas Decor

So, I haven't started decorating for Christmas just yet. Everyone keeps telling me it's too early. I mean, whatever haha! 😂 I'm actually looking on Pinterest for Christmas decor ideas, because this year I'm changing up my entire theme. Usually I go for a bright theme (as you guys can see from my Christmas tree below), and this year I'm thinking about a white and gold theme or a white and silver theme.

-Baking

It's that time of year where all I do is bake haha. I just LOVE baking! Whether it's cake or cupcakes or chocolate covered Oreos, I'm doing it all right now. I'm going to start working on some Christmas themed cupcakes next! And I'll try to post pictures or post a video or something.

Outs:

-Ben and Lauren's Show

Ohmygoshhhh 😭😭😭😭

First of all, I've loved Ben and Lauren since day one. But last night, their show just broke my heart!! 💔 I was literally bawling haha! Anyways, I still love their show and love them. 💗

Yay! More ins than outs! I was afraid since I hadn't done a post like this for awhile, I'd have a lot more outs. Hope you guys have a great Wednesday!

Reading: I started reading The Boy Is Back by Meg Cabot last night. So far, I really like it! I've been a huge fan of Meg Cabot's writing since I read the Princess Diaries series years ago. Also, so I went to the library and ended up checking out six books. Yeah, I went a little crazy picking out books haha! Anyway, the books have to back the first week of December, and my goal is to get all six books read BEFORE their return date. I think I can do it! So if you don't hear from me for awhile, I'm probably reading haha! 😂

Watching: I'm actually not watching any shows right now. 😢 I finished watching Gossip Girl over the weekend, while working on new Etsy designs. I'm not sure if I'll start a new show this week or not, because I'm pretty busy this week with work stuff. We'll see!

Thinking About: A LOT

Planning: So many things that I want to tell y'all about SO BAD, but I can't. 😢

Loving: Coffee. All the coffee.

Inspirational Quotes For Girl Bosses #3!

This morning I woke up in a very sassy mood. This morning I was like it's time to get into girl boss mode, and let me tell y'all, I've gotten a lot of work accomplished today! So, I thought I would do another inspirational quotes for girl bosses post. I've already done two of these posts, which you can check out here. Remember, being a girl boss isn't easy, but someone has to do it. 😉

Have a great Monday!

Coffee Chat: Volume 11

1. The red holiday cups are back at Starbucks! Red cup weather is better weather, in my opinion. It really starts feeling like holiday time when the red cups are back!

2. It's Mittens' birthday! I'm not exactly sure how old she is, but today marks 1 year since Mittens came into my life. One night, she just showed up on my front porch. The poor sweet girl has been through so much, but she's doing well!

3. For some reason, I've been awake since 4am. My schedule is so off y'all! I may have to take a nap today haha.

4. I really want to start decorating for Christmas. I know it's kind of early...But I'm planning on buying a bunch of new decor and a new Christmas tree. I'm so excited!!!

5. I've had so much on my mind lately, which is probably why I was awake at 4am. I just really got to stop over thinking things. And stop assuming things.

I hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend! :)

Where I Save & Splurge On Beauty Products

Everyone has different priorities when it comes to budgeting for beauty expenses. One person's 'save' is a 'spend' for another. Here are some of the ways I save and splurge on beauty products and habits!

Splurge: Skincare - I feel like skincare is probably the most important feature one can invest in. I'm at the age where I want to start improving my skincare routine. I'm moving up from acne products to more "grown-up" skincare items. I love splurging on one of my favorite brands from Sephora, Origins. I love their moisturizers and cleansers.

Save: Foundation - I used to be someone that cringed at the thought of using a drugstore foundation. Now, I'm seriously obsessed with drugstore foundations! One of my all time favorite foundations is the Maybelline Matte & Poreless. The coverage is amazing!

Splurge & Save: Eyeshadow - This one is tough, because I really love drugstore and high-end eyeshadows. I use both of them. There are times though, that I've been at Sephora and decided that I just needed to splurge on an eyeshadow palette. Sometimes I make impulse decisions in the Sephora checkout line...it's kind of a problem haha.

Splurge: Mascara - I know that everyone has mixed feelings on this, but I'm ok with splurging on mascara. I've used drugstore mascaras in the past, but I've decided that I really prefer high-end mascaras. My all time favorite is the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara. It's amazing!

Save: Lipstick - I really don't see the point in splurging on lipstick. I think drugstore lipstick is just as good as high-end. I also have a bad habit of losing lipsticks or forgetting which lipstick is in what purse. It's cheaper in the long run for me to purchase drugstore lipsticks haha!

Save: Brushes - I'll be honest and say, I'm really not the best at taking care of my makeup brushes. Plus, as a makeup artist, I have about a million different makeup brushes. I've found the brand Morphe Brushes and they have amazing quality brushes that are super affordable.

Splurge: Nails - I don't splurge all the time, sometimes I do paint my own nails at home. I did splurge and get acrylic nails, which I loved! Right now I don't have acrylics on, but I'm thinking about getting them done again soon.

Save & Splurge: Eyebrows - I tweeze my eyebrows at home. I've always been really scared to go and get them done by someone else. I also don't really see the point of paying someone to do my eyebrows. I will splurge when it comes to getting products to fill in my eyebrows, though. I love the Anastasia Beverly Hills products.

Splurge: Spa Treatments - Because sometimes you just need a relaxing day at the spa. Treat yourself girls!

So, how do you know when it's ok to splurge? There's an awesome financial app from Personal Capital, that allows you to check your accounts from your phone. So next time you're in Sephora and you want to splurge, you can make sure that you can splurge. :)

What products or habits do you splurge on? Tell me in the comments!

Have a great Thursday! :)

My Favorite iPhone Apps // Photo Editing & More!

If you guys are anything like me, then you're probably just as obsessed with your iPhone as I am. I use my phone for EVERYTHING! Work, keeping my personal life organized, talking to friends, etc. It's always in my hand wherever I go, and my Dad LOVES to tease me about that haha. Because I'm so iPhone obsessed, I thought I'd share with you guys my top five favorite apps.

1. Bloglovin'

This is the first app on the list for a reason! The Bloglovin' app makes it SO easy to keep track of all the blogs that I follow. Once you've followed a blog, all the recent posts from that blog, show up on your newsfeed. Once you've read a post, it disappears off of your newsfeed. You can also hit 'save,' just incase you want to read the post later. I also use Bloglovin' on my computer when I'm not on the go. If you want to follow my blog on there, you can click here

2. VSCO

I use VSCO to edit my photos for Instagram. I try to theme my Instagram feed, so I really like the VSCO filters for that. I think the app has some amazing filters for free, but they also have some that you can purchase, that are pretty cool too. My favorite filters are C1, F2, HB1, and T1.

3. She Reads Truth

She Reads Truth is my favorite online Bible study, and when I learned that they had an app, I had to get it! I can have my Bible study on the app, bookmark my favorite Bible verses, and make notes about the Bible study. I also love that it has the Bible on the app! They have Bible study plans on the app that you can purchase. This just makes Bible study on the go so much easier!

4. Mile IQ

This app makes it incredibly easy to track your mileage. Because I own my own business, I have to keep track of my business miles every month. This app runs in the background and uses your phone's GPS to automatically log mileage anytime you go for a drive. You can categorize your drives as business or personal with just a simple swipe, making it incredibly easy to calculate your business miles each month. This has been a lifesaver for me, because tracking my miles was something that I could never remember to do.

5. Spotify

Ok, so I'm sure that you all know about the Spotify app already, but it is one of my favorites! I am constantly using Spotify on my phone or my computer. I love the app because I can download my playlists and listen to my favorite songs in the car or wherever I am. This is also a great app to use at the gym!

So those are my favorite apps! Let me know in the comments what your favorite apps are! I'm always looking for new apps to use. :)

Have a great Wednesday!

Reading: I've decided to give audiobooks a try. I wasn't sure if I could be one of those people who listens to a book, I've always been someone that needed to actually hold the book. Right now, I'm listening to Gabrielle Berstein The Universe Has Your Back: Transform Fear to Faith.

Watching: Gossip Girl. I'm stressed and fighting a cold, and Gossip Girl is just my go to show when I'm stressed out. Like I'm stressed to the point that I could pull my hair out. It's not good. Anyways, I'm just about done with the last season of the show. Time to find a new show to stress watch!

Thinking About: How much I miss a certain person. And it's not just missing them being here, I miss talking to them. Don't want to be too obvious, because said person might read my blog.

Loving: Not really sure what I'm loving this week.

Coffee Chat: Volume 10

1. This week has been really stressful. I'm working on so many different projects right now, and it's just stressing me out. And of course, I can't talk about any of the projects that I'm working on. You guys will find out about them soon, and by soon, I mean next year. Sorry!

2. Technology is NOT my friend lately! Ugh. So my laptop charger quit working. It started off that I would have to wiggle the cord to get it to work, which wasn't that big of deal. Kind of annoying, but not that big of deal. Then, on Thursday, it kind of popped and just stopped. Yeah. So, I'm waiting on a new laptop charger.

3. I need to pack, but I don't want to. I hate packing. :(

4. Last night I couldn't sleep (what's new), so I started working on some new Etsy designs. I'm SO excited for the new designs! I'm doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff with the Etsy shop right now, other than designing and listing new items. I have quite a few ideas that I think would be fun for my Etsy shop...And that's all I can say. ;)

5. I can't believe that it's November. It doesn't seem possible! October just went way too fast.

I hope you guys have a great Friday! :)

Reading: Not reading anything right now. I did finally finish You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. I really liked it! Not sure what I'm going to read next, I might end up ordering some new books, because that's the easiest way for me to get books now. A book store that I used to shop at sometimes, closed. :( It wasn't super close to me, about an hour but, it was closer than Barnes and Noble which is like two hours. Kind of bummed about it.

Watching: I've been on a HUGE HGTV kick right now. I've also been watching Gossip Girl a lot lately, since I haven't been sleeping very well. And then all weekend I binge watched Halloween movies.

Thinking About: Honestly, there are so many things on my mind.

Loving: Not really sure what I'm loving this week.
