Coffee Chat: Volume 31

1. Hey! Hi! Hello! I'm still here! I know it's been FOREVER since I've posted a "real" post here on the blog. I've just been focusing so much of my time on my Etsy shop and other projects. One thing that I really struggle with is balancing all of my projects. My blog has kind of turned into my YouTube channel, which I've been neglecting. BUT I have lots of blog posts and videos planned, and I'm excited to get back into it. 😊

2. I feel like lots of things have happened since I last posted. First of all, I turned 21 on May 27th. 🍷 I had such a great 21st birthday! I got to celebrate with my friends and family. And I pretty much celebrated all weekend, since my birthday falls on Memorial weekend.

3. Kittens have been taking over my time right now! But I'm not complaining, because they're freaking adorable!! Sassy, who is in the picture below, is actually in a photo contest right now and it would be awesome if y'all could vote for her!

4. I've been doing a lot of writing. Not my book, which oh goodness that's a whole other struggle in my life right now πŸ˜‚ I've actually been writing songs. Well, attempting to write songs. It's not going so great haha.

5. I need more coffee. All of the coffee.

Hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend! 😊

Let's Talk Vitamins (Ft. HUM Nutrition)

Let's talk about vitamins on the blog today! I kind of have a love hate relationship with vitamins. I've been through so many different brands, trying to find ones that I actually really like and find ones that I feel like really work. Then a few months ago, I discovered the brand HUM. First of all, I was really drawn to the brand by how their products looked. Packaging is a really big thing for me and I have to admit, it's the first thing that I judge a brand on.

The next thing that I really liked about this brand, is that their products contain no soy, gluten, GMO's, artificial colors, or preservatives. Many products are organic and they even have vegan options.

Now, before I get into my personal favorite vitamins, I quickly want to mention that what works for me, might not work for you. Everyone is different and everyone has different wants when it comes to vitamins. I'm simply sharing my favorites.

// Runway Ready - I'm all about full hair, glowing skin, and strong nails. That's exactly what this vitamin does! I love that it comes in a little packet, super convenient. These include sunflower oil, which is a great source of vitamin E. You get 30 packets for 30 days.

// Big Chill - I love this one because it helps reduce stress, stay calm, and focused. I love using this because I have anxiety and have found that it really helps. This helps me keep focused when I'm working, and helps me not get stressed as easily.

// Beauty Zzzz - When it comes to sleeping, I don't get enough. Let's be real here. But, after taking this vitamin I've noticed that I'm able to fall asleep easier and actually get quality sleep. It has melatonin, which is a great sleep aid. I like using this vitamin because honestly, sleeping pills scare me. I've heard waaaay too many insane stories of the things people have done while taking sleeping pills. Like even driving their cars!!! Um yeah, no thanks. I'll stick to using my Beauty Zzzz vitamin!

// Moody Bird - This is seriously a life saver!!! We all know that it's normal to get bloated and moody when it's that time of the month. This really helps with bloating and keeping you happy during that time. This is pretty much just amazing for all of the normal PMS symptoms.

I know that looking at all of these vitamins can be kind of overwhelming. I can be difficult to decide what to try! That's why HUM has this awesome survey that you can take, where you can talk about your main concerns. A HUM nutritionist will work to find the best items for you. You can also order a little trial sample box (pictured above!). That was the first thing that I ordered from HUM, and I think it was a great thing to start out with!

If you're interested in placing an order, you can get $10 off with the code 10B39E. Minimum order of $29.

Have you tried any HUM products? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Coffee Chat: Volume 30

1. First of all, hi! It's been awhile since I've blogged. Honestly, just needed a little break from blogging. Even though I took a little blog break, I have been working on some behind the scenes blog stuff and YouTube stuff. Stuff that you'll be seeing in the future!

2. I've been obsessing over my nails lately. My natural nails are in awful shape right now, they keep breaking, and it's just super frustrating. So, I picked up some nails from Walmart (yes, Walmart!!) and did them myself! I love how they turned out! The nails are the brand Kiss and I put Essie Ballet Slippers on top.

3. OH so my computer pretty much died. I'm currently blogging from my iPad haha πŸ˜‚ It's been a struggle.

4. I've discovered a bunch of new beauty favorites, that I can't wait to share with you guys! I'll be doing a blog post on them soon.

5. I need more coffee...Give me all the caffeine today!

Hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend!

We give this food 5 paws up! It was whisker lickin' good!

Coffee Chat: Volume 29

1. It feels like it's been the longest week EVER. I don't know why. Maybe the weather? It was really rainy and gloomy the first part of this week. I've also been feeling really bummed this week, but I can't think of a reason why I would be bummed. Do you guys ever get bummed for no reason? Cause that's how I'm feeling.

2. I really want to go on a road trip. I don't know where I want to go, but I just want to travel somewhere. If it's something I do by myself, I don't want to go too far. But if I get someone to go with me, then I'd be comfortable traveling farther. Really need to start planning something.

3. Cappuccino is super yummy. But I'm pretty sure y'all already knew that. ;)

4. I need to clean my room. When do I not need to clean my room? I promise, I'm not an unorganized/messy person, I'm just a 20 year old girl who has trouble deciding on what to wear and brings every clothing item out of her wardrobe. It's a struggle to get ready!

5. I need more coffee. This girl has not had enough caffeine yet today!

Hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend!

The Do's & Don'ts Of Your First Internship

Growing up, I'd always dreamed of being an intern. Specifically, an intern at a fashion magazine. I know, kind of weird. But I would see people with internships in movies, and would just dream of being an intern at a fashion magazine. As I got older, I would spend hours researching how to make the most of an internship. Even though I've never gotten to live out my dream of interning at a fashion magazine, I've compiled a list of what I've learned from research. These are my do's and don'ts for your first internship.

The Do's:

DO Your Research // Doing your research means, taking your time to get to know the company that you'll be interning for. It would be kind of embarrassing if you didn't have any background knowledge on the company. Check out their website and social media. Knowing the company, makes your internship a lot easier!

DO Dress For Success // It's important to dress appropriately. I can't stress enough just how important it is! This means your boobs shouldn't be out in the open and your heels shouldn't be as high as a strippers. In my opinion, there's nothing better than office chic. I just love office chic! Pinterest is a great place to get inspiration on what to wear.

DO Get To Know Your Coworkers // The ones you work with are going to the be the ones you spend the most time with. Take some time to get to know them. You'll probably learn a lot from them. Ask them questions, find out what they bring to the table. Keep in mind, you probably won't be able to make friends with everyone, and that's ok. Just remember to remain professional.

The Don'ts:

DON'T Be Late // I can't stress enough how unprofessional being late is! Being on time goes hand in hand with first impressions, and shows what kind of employee you'll be. If you're late all the time, chances are you're someone who doesn't want to put much effort into the job. That's a major turn off for employers. If you do know that you're going to be late, make sure to notify someone to let them know when they can expect you.

DON'T Be Scared To Ask Questions // I'm sure you've heard this before, and it's oh so true, there is no such thing as a stupid question. If you have a question, don't be scared, just ask! If you don't ask your question, you risk the chance of performing a task incorrectly. Everyone there will be happy to answer your questions!

DON'T Forget To Take A Deep Breath And Smile // Girl, relaaaax! You've got this! The first day is always the most stressful. Keep your head up, take a deep breath, and put on a smile. Remember to do your best, which all anyone could ask for.

I hope these tips help you! And if you have any tips, please share them in the comments!

Have a great Thursday! :)

My Current Favorite Podcasts!

Lately I've been obsessed with listening to podcasts. I've found myself listening to them instead of watching TV/Netflix. I'll listen to them when I'm getting ready, in my car, and while I'm working. I don't know what it is about podcasts, but I just really prefer podcasts over TV. Ever since I've started listening to podcasts, I've been dreaming about having my own podcast. But like, I have no idea what I would even talk about! Having my own podcast, will probably never become a thing haha. That's probably a good thing!

So today, I wanted to share with you guys my current favorite podcasts. I'm always looking for new ones to listen to and I've since started listening to a few more then just the ones mentioned below! I'll have to do an updated favorites list sometime! Anyway, here are my current favorites:

Ladies Who Lunch // I love this podcast! It's by Ingrid Nilsen and Cat Valdes. I've watched both of them on YouTube for years, and when I learned that they had a podcast, obviously I had to start listening to it! They discuss many different topics from relationships to mental health. They approach each topic with compassion and a sense of humor, which is perfect.

Betch Slapped // This podcast is by the founders of Betches, who are also the authors of one of my favorite books Nice Is Just A Place In France. They discuss topics from celebrity gossip to current TV shows to giving advice on love and friendships. I like them because they're sassy and bitchy and relatable.

Girlboss Radio With Sophia Amoruso // I freaking love Sophia Amoruso, she is one of my inspirations because she is #girlboss goals! She is the founder of Nasty Gal, which is an amazing clothing store. In each episode, Sophia interviews other #girlbosses out there. It's inspirational and motivational. And there's also a little bit of humor added too.

The Bitch Bible // This podcast is created by Jackie Schimmel. It's basically all the the things everyone is thinking, but only a bitch would say out loud. She discusses everything from pop culture to millennial struggles and more. Seriously love this podcast!

Do you guys listen to podcasts? What are some of your favorites? Share in the comments!

XO, Chelsea

Reading: Not reading anything right now.

Watching: I really haven't been watching any TV lately, mostly listening to podcasts. I actually want to do a blogpost talking about my favorite podcasts.

Planning: So many things! I just can't talk about any of them yet haha. Everything I'm planning right now is all work related (blog, YouTube, Etsy), so I can't share anything just yet. Soon!

Thinking About: All of the things. Seriously, so much on my mind right now.

Loving: My car. And iced coffee.

Coffee Chat: Volume 28

1. It's finally not raining! It's been raining off and on all week. It's definitely been a cozy week, with it raining and being cold. And the rain has made the grass and trees look nice and green! Makes me get excited for warmer weather! πŸ˜ƒ

2. I've been doing a lot of designing this week, working on many different things coming to the Etsy shop. Clutches were just released today! Ohhhmyygoshhh I love how they turned out! I seriously want one in every color! πŸ’–

3. This week I've been thinking a lot about my bedroom, because I need to decide on an accent color or two. I've been looking on Pinterest but, so far I haven't really seen anything that calls my name. I really like lilac, and thought that would be pretty but, I can't find any lilac inspo on Pinterest. The struggle is real y'all!

4. I've been really into journaling this week. Just keeping track of my goals and thoughts. I've found journaling to be really helpful! 😌

5. I need all the coffee today. I'm drinking coffee now but, I'm already thinking about making another cup because caffeine. πŸ˜‚

His & Her Spring Fashion Trends! (Ft. Bonobos!)

Set For Blog Post

By: ohheyychelsea

Today, I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite spring fashion trends for him and her. For me this spring, I am all about pastels. I've been loving blues, purples, and pinks. I've also really been into loose, flowy/ruffled shirts. I don't know what it is about them but, I just love how they look and they're SO comfortable!

Along with pastels, I've been loving neutral colors, like gray. I absolutely LOVE that gray purse! I need that in my closet! I really wanted to keep the outfits for him pretty neutral, just because sometimes guys are nervous to step outside of their comfort zones and wear bright colors. Guys can find trendy and stylish clothing by shopping at Bonobos. That is actually where the mens clothing shown in the post is from!

Let me know what you guys think of this outfit in the comments below! Also in the comments, tell me what your favorite spring trends are! Have a great Thursday!

Reading: Decided on re-reading You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. I've been really into motivational books and podcasts lately. I also really loved this book the first time I read it and thought it might be good to read again!

Watching: I really haven't been watching anything, just having random Netflix shows on in the background for some noise.

Planning: Not really planning anything right now.

Thinking About: All of the things.

Loving: My contacts. Y'all have no idea how nice it is to finally be able to see all the time! I had glasses, but I hated wearing them. Especially on the days when I would do my makeup, because makeup is my job and I wanted people to be able to see mine. It took me a few days to get used to the whole putting my finger in my eye thing, but I've got the hang of it now!

Coffee Chat: Volume 27

1. Starting this blog post off on a sad note again, sorry! Today marks 2 years since my Grandpa passed away. I can't believe it's been 2 years. It doesn't seem possible...I love and miss him so much. I got to spend 18 wonderful years with him.

2. Moving on to a happier note, Cappuccino Design Co (my Etsy shop) reached 112 sales! Feeling really proud of my shop and feeling really blessed. πŸ’– I'm just a girl who had a dream of putting her designs on items to sell, and I just can't believe that my Etsy shop has reached this point. I can't wait to see my shop continue to expand with new items! I am just SO thankful!

3. I totally used this picture in yesterday's blog post...oops! I couldn't help it, I really like the picture! πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

4. I really need to clean my room. UGH! It's not too messy, just need to hang up some clothes. My problem is, I get ready to go somewhere, try on a million things, but never put them back in the closet. I do need to go through some of my clothes, because I still have clothes that are too big for me after losing weight. Why am I keeping them? No idea! I'm definitely NOT planning on ever fitting into them again!!

5. I really want to go and see Beauty And The Beast! I've been hearing so many amazing things about it. I also just want to watch a movie in general. Hmm...what should I watch?

Hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend! 😊😊

Ins & Outs #13

-Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato

I think y'all probably already knew this, but I'm obsessed with the iced caramel macchiato from Starbucks. They're just so yummy! Honestly, as much as I go to Starbucks, they should sponsor me hahaha! πŸ˜‚

I've been doing a lot of writing this week. I'm trying to rewrite some of my book. I'm not overly happy with how my book is going right now. Will my book be published this year? Not sure right now haha.

-Car Trips

Sunday the weather was beautiful, so I hopped in my car, and went for a little drive through the country. Stopped and got an iced coffee, cranked up my music, and opened the sunroof. It was perfect and a much needed drive.

My cats are always in, but this picture was too cute to not share it with y'all!

-Being Cold

I am cold ALL THE TIME. I really have no idea why. I'm just always cold. It's so annoying. I want to travel somewhere warm haha.

-Slow Internet

My internet has been really slow this week. Very annoying!

That's it for my ins and outs this week! Hope y'all have a great Thursday!

Reading: Not reading anything again this week. I literally have so many books that I want to read right now, but I just can't get into a book right now. I'm thinking about re-reading You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero, because I really loved it the first time that I read it.

Watching: I really haven't been into watching anything new on Netflix or TV, so I've just been re-watching Jane The Virgin. And really, I haven't been "watching" it, just had it on in the background for some noise when I'm not listening to music.

Planning: Some new releases coming to my Etsy shop this week! I'll be posting about them on Instagram when they're released, and also sending out info in the newsletter.

Thinking About: So. Many. Things.

Loving: Not really sure what I'm loving this week...Probably coffee because I'm always loving coffee.

February Beauty Favorites!

It's March 20th, and I'm just now getting a blog post for my February favorites done. Oops! I'm just a little behind, but that is okay! Normally, I would film a video for my monthly favorites, but right now I just haven't been filming all that much. Anyway, for the month of February, I really didn't try out that many different products. I've honestly just been sticking with my all time favorites that I reach for on a daily basis. I've kind of been stuck in a beauty rut/stuck in my beauty routine haha! You guys know what I'm talking about, you just keep using the same products and don't change it up! With that being said, let's just jump right into my favorites!

-First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: I've been raving about this moisturizer since I first began using it a few months ago. But honestly y'all, this moisturizer has SAVED my skin! My skin looks the best that it has in MONTHS. It keeps my skin nice and hydrated. I love that this moisturizer soaks right into my skin, it doesn't leave my face feeling greasy or anything like that.

-Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: If you've been watching my makeup tutorials, you know that I literally use this ALL THE TIME! It's my all time favorite foundation primer. It just really hydrates my skin, and really adds a nice healthy glow under my foundation. It also really keeps my foundation on my skin all day.

-Maybelline Better Skin Powder in 30 Warm Nude: I know that I'm always mentioning this powder, but it is seriously my favorite powder! I love using it as a setting powder for my foundation. It really just adds the perfect finishing touch to my foundation, and makes my face look flawless. It's not too heavy or cakey or anything like that.

-Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation in 112: This foundation is my FAVORITE drugstore foundation! I know I've been talking about this foundation for awhile, but I'm still loving it! This foundation has the most amazing matte finish. I would say it's a medium to full coverage, but I feel like it's buildable, so you could add more product to get the coverage that you want. I love that it's not heavy on my skin.

-Morphe Bronzed Mocha Palette: Ohhhhmygoshhhhh this eyeshadow palette! I LOVE this palette! First of all, y'all know that I love Morphe. It's such an amazing brand, that is super affordable and the products are amazing quality. I've been loving using this palette lately. The eyeshadows are GORGEOUS! I also have some tutorials planned with this palette coming up soon. I'm not sure if this palette is still available...But I'm pretty sure you can get similar colors in the individual eyeshadows.

-Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara: I feel like lately I've been switching between a few different mascaras, but right now I've been loving this one. This adds a lot of volume to my lashes and makes them look really full. Adds lots of length.

-Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray: This is my all time favorite setting spray! It's my holy grail must have in my makeup kit product! This really keeps my makeup in place ALL day and into the night. It's just the perfect finishing touch to my makeup look.

That is it for my February favorites! What products did you love in February? Let me know in the comments! :)

*Thank you to Influenster for sending me the Marc Jacobs mascara and the Maybelline powder to review! All opinions are honest and my own! :)

Coffee Chat: Volume 26

1. Starting this post on an extremely sad note...My parents dog Frosty passed away suddenly early Thursday morning. She had a heart attack, which I'm not sure why because she was in good health and everything. Even though she was technically my parents dog, I was really close to her. I was just talking to my Mom the other day, about how I wanted to come visit Frosty sometime, which just makes this situation even more heartbreaking.

2. On a happier note, I had a really fun week with friends! You guys know, I don't get too personal here on the blog, but it's been a really fun week. 😊

3. I feel drained this morning...I think it's just because I'm still in shock over losing Frosty. I don't know...

4. It's going to be 70 degrees today! Wooooo!

5. I need more coffee. Give me all the coffee. πŸ˜‚

I hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend!

Reading: Still not reading anything. Really haven't felt like reading lately.

Watching: I haven't been watching any Netflix lately, but last night I did watch The Bachelor. I don't usually get to watch it on Monday nights, I'm usually catching up on Tuesday night haha. Anyway, not going to spoil anything, but I'm really happy with who Nick chose. πŸ’–

Thinking About: A lot.

Planning: Some new items for the Etsy shop. Samples of new possible releases are coming in the mail this week!

Loving: Coffee and spending time with friends.

Coffee Chat: Volume 25

1. I've had another really fun week this week! I know, it's only Friday and the week technically isn't over yet. So, I guess I should say I've had a really fun week so far! πŸ˜‚

2. Would you guys be interested in a live stream on Facebook? I thought about doing a live makeup tutorial or something like that on my Chelseamakeup14 page. Let me know your thoughts!

3. The espresso roast coffee from Starbucks is lifeeeeeeπŸ’–

4. Apparently there's a chance of snow tomorrow because this is Missouri and the weather is constantly changing. Monday we had warm weather and tornadoes. Saturday we're going to have cold weather and snow. Getting all the seasons in this week! πŸ˜‚

5. Ordered some samples of items that will hopefully be going in my Etsy shop soon! Just gotta make sure the colors are going to print right and then they'll be good to go!

I hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend! 😊

My First Makeup Event: Bridal Fair Edition

Last month I attended my first makeup event, which was a bridal fair. I had such a blast meeting so many amazing people and potential clients. Now, because this was my first makeup event, I really didn't know what to expect. I did research before the event, but I feel like there were many different things that I would've changed looking back. Today, I thought I'd share with you some of the tips that I learned, that I'm planning on applying the next time I go to a makeup event. I'm hoping that these tips will help any makeup artists out there reading my blog! And these tips aren't just for bridal events, they can be used for any makeup event.

Before The Event:

Set Some Goals: Take a moment to think about why you're going to be attending this event. To gain new clients? To sell a new product or service? Those are just a couple of different reasons why a makeup artist might choose to attend an event. Keep these goals in mind when preparing for the event.

Advertise: Let your following know that you're going to be there! Share the event on social media! I personally chose to use my Facebook page as a way to let everyone know that I was going to be at the event. Instagram and Twitter is also great to use. Social media is the easiest way to reach people.

Prepare Your Team: I did the bridal fair by myself, but if you're going to have more than one person working with you at the event, make sure they're prepared. Make sure they know your prices and what services or products you offer. And maybe even come up with a short little sales pitch they can use when greeting people who stop by your table.

At The Event:

Make It Look Pretty: You're going to want to make sure your table or booth stands out! Dress your table with your products, business cards, brochures, price list, service list, a nice banner, and a tablecloth. At first glance, your table should show what you're offering. And don't forget about having specials! I know at my table, I made a little flyer that if people mention that flyer, they get $10 off their next makeover. Little things like that, really help promote your business! And it's always nice to offer special deals at events.

Be Inviting: Make sure you're smiling and just overall look inviting. Greet everyone who walks by. Stand by your table. Be genuine and authentic.

After The Event:

Assess Your Success: Take a look back at your goals. How well did you do? What did you learn, and what would you do differently next time? Write down the answers to these questions, the answers could be very helpful if you decide to do another makeup event. If you found this event to be successful, then you may want to find more makeup events to sign up for!

I hope these tips and tricks helped you! If you have any tips that you'd like to share, please share them in the comments!

Reading: Still not reading anything.

Watching: I actually haven't been watching Netflix lately. The only actual TV show that I've been watching is the Bachelor.

Thinking About: So. Many. Things.

Planning: New items for my Etsy shop! New items coming this week!

3. I need to take my car to the car wash so bad! The poor thing is so dirty right now. 😭 The joys of having a white car.

4. OH so last Sunday, I did a bridal fair! It was so much fun! I'm actually planning on doing a blog post talking about it. So keep your eyes open for that!

Coffee Chat: Volume 23

1. It's so gloomy outside today. 😩 And it was snowing earlier. It didn't stick to the ground, thankfully! But like y'all, Missouri weather is so confusing. One day it's 70 degrees, the next day it's snowing. I know it is still February, but still! I want Spring!!

2. I've been writing a lot this week. Not my book, just random things. They've actually been turning out really good. I've just had a lot on my mind and heart lately. I might post some of the writings on Twitter or something. They're just short little tidbits, but they have some good advice. In my opinion.

3. A pillow and bathmat went to their new homes today. πŸ’– Currently waiting on the ink in the thank you cards to dry. Yes, I do write out personalized thank you cards for each order. Customer service is VERY important to me!

4. I need to paint my nails, but I just don't want to haha. πŸ˜‚ I really don't like painting my nails. It just takes forever for the nail polish to dry and it's just a pain in the booty!

5. Debating on if I should make another pot of coffee...Hmmm...I probably should. πŸ™ˆ

I hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend! πŸ˜€

Ins & Outs #12

Y'all, it feels like it's been forever since I've posted an ins and outs post. Decided to bring it back today!

-Warm Weather

The weather this week has been gorgeous! Well...Until today. It's a little windy and chilly out. There's also a chance of snow tomorrow. The joys of living in Missouri! πŸ˜‚ Well, actually the joys of living anywhere in the Midwest really haha. Anyway, when the weather was nice, I got out and went for a walk through the pasture. It's seriously one of my favorite things to do. Grab my journal, my phone (mostly for pictures), put on my boots, and just go. And of course, the cats usually follow me to the pasture too.

-My Car

I really hadn't planned on mentioning my car too much online, but I did get a car! I was looking online one night, and came across this car and I just knew that it was the one for me. I'm the kinda person that once I like something, I just know it's for me haha. Does that make sense? Is anyone else like that? Or am I just weird? πŸ˜‚ I'm like that with A LOT of things! Anyways, I liked the color (white) and I just liked how the car looked. It's very sporty and very girly. Plus, it has leather seats and black interior. Which I ALWAYS knew that my dream car would be white exterior with black interior. Basically, I had my mind made up before I even test drove the car!! I'm very excited about having my own car and I'm very thankful that I was able to get it. πŸ’–

-Drawing On My iPad

I took a little break from drawing for awhile, I just wasn't feeling inspired or creative. Well, this week I've been drawing on my iPad like crazy! I'm thinking about listing some of my drawings on Etsy? I don't know, just an idea I had. Last night I was up super late drawing on my iPad haha.

I've been getting SO MANY emails, and it's so hard keeping up with them! I feel like all I've done lately is delete and answer emails haha.

I think I spend too much time thinking. πŸ™ˆ

But in all seriousness though, if overthinking burned calories, I'd be invisible.

That's it for my ins and outs this week! Hope y'all have a great Thursday!

Girl Boss Guide: Getting Out Of A Slump

As a blogger, YouTuber, and Etsy shop owner, I understand sometimes it's easy to fall into a slump. You go through times where you're super productive, just working away. And then there are the times when you're feeling down about your business, and it really effects your productivity. Honestly, it sucks. Here are my top tips for getting out of a slump!

-Clear Your Mind

This is usually the main cause for me falling into a slump, I just have too many thoughts buzzing around in my mind. My mind is constantly thinking! And while that can be good, it can also be a pain in the booty. When I'm in a slump, those thought tend to turn negative. Clearing your mind is a great way to get out of a slump. You just gotta get rid of all those negative thoughts in your mind, that could potentially hold you back.

Take a moment to be by yourself and just take a few deep breaths. Go for a walk outside. Take a bubble bath and light some candles. Do yoga. It doesn't matter how you do it, just as long as you find a way to clear your mind of those negative thoughts. Once you've gotten rid of those negative thoughts, you'll be feeling nice and refreshed!

-Make Some Time For You

I'm the kind of person that feels like I constantly have to be working. A girls gotta pay the bills! But, working all of the time is exhausting. Sometimes you just gotta take a break. I can hear some of y'all saying "Chelsea, I don't have time to take a break!" Girl, you betta make some time! It's so important to take some time for you and de-stress.

Take some time to do what you love, whether it's writing, dancing, whatever it may be. I personally love turning up some music and having a dance party while I clean my house. Cleaning is VERY therapeutic for me haha. Do you what you love, or you'll find yourself frazzled and overworked. Nobody wants to feel that way!

-Think About The Good Times

When you're in a slump, it can be so easy to tear yourself down and tear your business down. You'll find yourself comparing your business to other businesses and just having too many negative thoughts. Not good!

When I get this way, I like to go back and think about why I started my business in the first place. I think about why I love working on my business and why I love my business. It gets me motivated to work, and because I'm so focused on working, those negative thoughts just go away!

I hope these tips helped y'all out! If you have any tips on what you do to get out of a slump, please share them in the comments!
