Our Wedding // All The Details & More!

I know it's been a while since I've posted here and I'm back with a big life update! I got married!! If you've been following me on social media for a while, you know that Josh and I were engaged for 5 years. We knew we wanted a long engagement when we got engaged. It made sense in the season of life we were in. We had originally planned a wedding for 2020, but that got postponed. And then with Josh's health issues, we just decided to wait a while longer. We knew that God had a plan for us and our marriage. This year our anniversary fell on a Saturday, and it was not only our engagement anniversary, it was our dating anniversary too. And now it's our wedding anniversary! I just think it's so special that it's all on the same date. Anyway, today I wanted to share some wedding details and pictures from our special day! When it came to decorating the church, we kept it really simple. We put flowers on a few of the pews. And we used candelabras that Josh's dad made years ago. Almost all of Josh's siblings used them as decor for their own weddings, so I knew they had to be in ours too! We got all of our flowers from Ling's Moment. We used the marsala and blush collection. I thought the flowers were beautiful! And they felt like amazing quality. The price was really great too!My dress is Moonlight Bridal T832. I can't find it on their website anymore, so I'm not sure if they still make it. I ordered it from a local bridal boutique in 2020. I had tried on a few dresses at the boutique, but really couldn't find anything I liked. I knew I wanted the Moonlight Bridal brand though. I looked on their website and found this one. The local boutique was able to order it! I never tried it on until it arrived at the boutique! But when I did I knew it was the one.I lost about 60 pounds since buying the dress. I went down 4 dress sizes! Thankfully my grandma was able to do my alterations and take in the waist. She also was able to fix the chest area a little. I really didn't want to have a wardrobe malfunction during the ceremony!Bride - Moonlight Bridal T832 Dress I'm slightly obsessed with the boots I wore for the wedding. I knew that I wanted these boots when we started planning! They're Corral brand, which is my favorite brand for western boots. I got them in a snip-toe because I think that style is the most comfortable. Especially if doing a lot of walking or dancing. I got them from a local western boutique but I was able to find them on Amazon!Corral Wedding BootsI did my own hair and makeup for the wedding. I knew that I wanted to do both myself just because I am picky when it comes to both haha. I curled my hair and pinned one side back. For makeup, I used the Blush Crush eyeshadow palette from Colourpop. And then I used a bunch of my ELF Cosmetics favorites for my face. I have a lot of the products saved in a collection in my LTK shop!My jewelry for the wedding was super special. I got to wear the necklace that my great-grandma wore for her wedding day. For earrings, I just wore a pair that I've had for a while. And then I wore my engagement ring on my right hand. I got a new wedding ring and band since we'd been engaged for so long. We decided to upgrade haha! And then for perfume, I wore the one that Josh's grandma wore. I think it smells amazing! And I thought it was a special way to include something of hers.Josh got his jacket and shirt at a local western boutique. His vest from Amazon. And his pants were also from Amazon. I don't currently have links for those, but I'll add them later! He also wore western boots. For food, we did a walking taco bar. We both love tacos so this was perfect for us! And it was also a more affordable option. We didn't actually know how many guests we would have, but we had plenty of food! We did cupcakes instead of a cake. My mother-in-law made the cupcakes and they were beautiful! I made our cake. It's a gluten-free vanilla wedding cake with buttercream frosting. I hadn't baked in a long time, but it's something I still love. And I can't wait to bake another cake! My grandma made the cream cheese mints. The cake stands and boxes are from Hobby Lobby. The sign we got on Facebook Marketplace. And the mint tray was one our church had in the kitchen.Wedding Cupcake TableOur ceremony was very us! Josh's brother was our officiant which was cool. We kept our ceremony very simple. I knew that I would be super emotional and ended up getting teary-eyed during the vows. My favorite part of our ceremony was our foot-washing ceremony. This was such a special moment for us.Foot washing ceremony wedding I think that covers everything from our wedding! I feel like I'm missing something, and if I think of it I'll add it to this post later. It was such an amazing day and we have so many amazing memories from it. I'm so thankful for all of our friends and family that were able to attend our special day.If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments! I will try to answer them soon. :)XOXO,Chelsea
