Coffee Chat: Volume 35 (Road Trip Edition!)

1. I know, it's been awhile since I've posted here on the blog. When I was out in Las Vegas and Phoenix, I didn't have access to wifi, which made working very difficult! J and I road tripped out to Vegas in November, and like the amazing blogger I am (*insert eye rolls here*), this post is now going up four months after our trip. Oops!

2. The road trip ended up being about three days. We started out driving through Nebraska, which I didn't take any pictures in Nebraska. I was still half asleep, and so I mostly just drank coffee and ate doughnuts. After Nebraska, we headed to Wyoming. In Wyoming, we stopped and ate a burger with one of J's friends that lives out that way. Oh, I wish I could remember the name of the burger place in downtown Cheyenne! It was such a cute little place and the food was SO yummy!

3. This was my first trip out west, and also my first time seeing mountains! I couldn't get over how beautiful the mountains are! While driving through Utah, we stopped at this rest stop that also had a lookout area. The view was seriously breathtaking! I literally took a million pictures at this spot.

4. Day 3 of the trip was...interesting. We drove through Arizona for just a little bit, to get to Nevada. Right as soon as we crossed into Arizona, we heard a loud POP. J and I were both like, "What the heck?!" A tire blew out. We were barely five miles into Arizona, we could still see the Arizona sign from where we were pulled over. We weren't sure if this was a sign or just a weird thing that had happened haha. J got out and put the little doughnut tire on, and we drove for a little bit to find a Walmart to get the tire changed. Thankfully, we just blew a tire and it wasn't anything super serious, but it was still very frustrating!

5. Let's talk about Vegas! First of all, I had SO MUCH fun there! It was a little overwhelming for this small town girl, especially on the strip and Fremont street. Looking at the lights was really neat. We didn't zipline or anything like that on Fremont street, just because this girl doesn't do heights! We got to watch and cheer on K at the speedway in Vegas. He got 2nd place, which was awesome! And then because we were out there around Christmas time, we got to go see Christmas lights around the Speedway, which was so neat!! OH and I got to see J sing in Vegas, which was so cool! Yeah, I guess you could say I had quite a bit of fun in Vegas haha!

So that's my little catch up post. I am planning on filming and blogging more, so make sure you guys are following me on social media to know when I post!

Hope you guys are having a great Thursday! 😊

Coffee Chat: Volume 34

1. Y'all things have been crazy around here lately! I'm not complaining though. I kinda love the craziness. I just don't know where to start this blog post. I guess I'll start this blog post off with that my grandparents got puppies! Yes, puppies! Their names are Ginger and Gizmo and they are adorable! My grandparents adopted them from a local shelter. They were actually brought to the shelter, because their previous owners had to go to a nursing home. Gizmo has pretty serious separation anxiety from Ginger, so it just made sense that he went with her. Right now we're working on potty training, which definitely hasn't been easy. But they're doing better on going outside to potty. Ginger and Gizmo are both around a year old.

2. J and I have been re-doing our pop-up camper. It was in major need of a makeover, the camper is literally as old as I am! So you guys can imagine, the style was just a little outdated since it's twenty-one years old. I don't want to spoil too much, because I would like to do a blog series on the remodeling process, but let me tell you the struggles we had with Rit fabric dye. For our curtains, we were really hoping for green. So we literally took their green dye, which was a nice evergreen color. Guess what color the curtains turned out? GRAY!?!? HOW??? 😐

I really have no idea how it happened. 😂

3. Halloween was this week! What did you guys dress up as? I ended up not dressing up for Halloween this year. Not really sure why haha. Also, we only had one trick or treater! Small town probs. 😢

4. I feel like I've been neglecting my blog, and I know that I've been neglecting my YouTube channel. I have a few videos to edit that I'll be uploading soon. Really going to try to get back into the YouTube routine. I feel like it's going to be harder to film and upload, with us traveling so much, but really going to try. I can't wait to share with you guys our travels here on the blog!

5. I feel like there was a lot more that I was going to mention in this blog post, but my brain is just not working right now haha! 😂 If I remember, I'll do another blog post with updates and such.

Hope y'all are having a great Thursday!

My Favorite iPhone Apps // Lifestyle, Games & More! (Part 2!)

Around this time last year, I did a blog post discussing my favorite iPhone apps. I'm back today, sharing even more of my favorite iPhone apps. I feel like I'm always on my phone. It's my way of keeping organized and doing work from my phone on the road. These are my current top five favorites!

1. Poshmark

I'm sure you guys are pretty familiar with Poshmark, as it's a pretty popular app. I'm fairly new to the app, but so far I am loving it! It's a great way to sell name brand items that you have in your closet or makeup collection, that you're not using anymore. I currently have some makeup products and clothes for sale on there. My shop is @chelseamakeup14 if you'd like to check out the items! I also have a referral code to get $5 off! Use the code CHELSEAMAKEUP14

2. Mint

I really like Mint because it's great for keeping track of your finances. It's great for keeping track of what money you have going in and going out. I really like that I can also keep track of my bills on there too. You can also set budgets. So for example, I'm a huge Starbucks lover so I have a budget set up for what I can spend on coffee each month. Because let's be real, coffee can get expensive!

3. IBotta

I'm fairly new to using IBotta but I wish that I would've found it sooner! I've been trying to save money when it comes to groceries, so using IBotta you get cash back on select items from different stores. Stores include Target, Walmart, Walgreens and more. All you have to do is take a picture of your receipts and IBotta will match your receipts to the items you selected. I do have a referral code for you guys, you can get a $10 bonus! Just use the code mdoyryf

4. Etsy

Not only do I sell items on Etsy, I also do quite a bit of shopping on there! I love buying things from small business and just supporting small businesses. I really love using the Etsy app. I can keep track of my favorites and keep track of what items I have in my cart. It's super easy to use!

5. Design Home

I've been obsessed with this app lately! I love it because you can design rooms. And they have different challenges, like design a modern room or tropical patio. It's quite a lot of fun!

Those are five more of my favorite apps! Let me know in the comments what your favorite apps are!

Have a great Monday!

Take A Look At My Vanity! (Sort Of)

If you've been keeping up with my latest blog posts, you'd know that I've been traveling in Minnesota for the past month and a half or so. Doesn't seem possible that I've been up here that long! Seems like just yesterday J and I made that 8 hour trip up here...Anyway, we've been staying at his mom's house, which has been really nice. I like the whole idea of staying at a house with people I know, verses staying at a hotel. Plus, that gives me a chance to unpack and just make myself at home. 😊

When packing for this trip, I really wanted to keep it simple and just pack the basics. For me, basics include everything but the kitchen sink! I just can't help it! I try to pack for every possible situation. Which meant packing two different types of deodorant. I've been loving my Degree Dry Protection deodorant. This keeps my armpits smelling nice and keeps them dry! I then like to finish up my deodorant with the Secret Rose Body Spray. Just spray a little bit of this directly on your armpits. Keeps them smelling extra fresh!

I had to bring my favorite foundation with me! I actually didn't pack a whole bunch of makeup this time, because I've been keeping my everyday makeup fairly simple. But for foundation, I've been loving the CoverGirl Healthy Elixir foundation. Full coverage and amazing quality! Also like to pair that foundation with my Urban Decay Naked Skin concealers. OH! Almost forgot to mention my foundation primer! The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. And then I also brought my beauty blender to use to blend out foundation.

Brought my current favorite makeup remover with me! I've been using the Simple brand makeup remover, and I really like it! It's not greasy, and does a great job at removing waterproof makeup.

Lastly, brought my Tresemme dry shampoo. Y'all this dry shampoo has gotten me and my hair through so much! 😂 But, during the music festival I didn't want to wash my hair, so just spray in some dry shampoo and call it good!

That's currently whats on my vanity that isn't actually my vanity! Hope you guys liked this blog post! Hope you guys are having a great day and a great week!!

What beauty products are currently on your vanity? Tell me in the comments below!

Ins & Outs #14

It has been literally forever since I've posted an ins and outs post. I feel like when it comes to blogging, I haven't really had much inspiration for post ideas lately. Decided to scroll through some of my older posts, and thought an ins and outs post sounded really fun!

I have been eating SO MUCH food lately! Ohhhmygosh. It's crazy! J and I got the wood fire pizza when we were in LeMars, then I got chicken strips when we went to DQ on our way home, and then ice cream from the Blue Bunny ice cream parlor in LeMars. Plus, last night we went to a bar and grill here in MN and I got a crispy chicken sandwich, and I ate the whole thing! 😳 After we stop traveling for a bit, this girl needs to go back on her diet...But for now, I'm just gonna enjoy all the foods, including the Ben and Jerry's Half Baked that someone bought for me last night. 😉

I've been enjoying traveling this past month, so much! I'm just so thankful that God has blessed me with a job that allows me to travel, and still work. I'm getting to do what I've always dreamed of doing, and honestly, I'm the happiest that I've been in a looooong time. So thankful and so blessed!! 💖

Specifically, Barefoot Pink Moscato. Super yummy! Also, can we just mention that Barefoot is $3 at home, but up it's $6?! Ruuuuude

-Leaves Changing Colors

It feels like fall in MN right now! The temps are dropping and the leaves are beginning to change color. I'm a very happy girl right meow! 🍂🍁

-Lack Of Cats

This crazy cat lady is going...well...crazy. I haven't seen ANY cats since I've been in MN, and I've been in MN for almost a month and a half now! I'm having cat withdrawals right meow. 😭😹

That's it for my ins and outs! Hope you guys are having a great week! Praying for everyone in the path of Hurricane Irma. 💖

Coffee Chat: Volume 33

1. Ohhhmygosh, it feels like it's been forever since I've written a blog post! Life has been kind of crazy lately, but I'm not complaining, as it's been so much fun. I've been traveling, meeting new friends, and spending time with other friends. Also, eating lots of food haha! God has blessed me so much this past month, and I'm just so thankful that I've been able to do what I've been doing. 💖

2. J and I just got back from the Old Time National Country Music Association Festival in LeMars, IA. It was such an awesome week! J was actually performing, and eventually he got me on stage by the end of the week. 😂 We got to meet so many talented musicians last week, and made so many forever friends. J also won Traditional Country Album Of The Year!!! It was such an amazing week! 😊

3. LeMars is the hometown of Blue Bunny ice cream, so obviously we had to go to the Blue Bunny ice cream parlor while we there! I got a scoop of cookie dough and some kind of brownie flavor. So yummy!! 😋 We also discovered a wood cooked pizza place called Catalanos. Super yummy pizza! And I of course had to get my coffee fix while there, so I found a local coffee shop called Bellissimo. Love their coffee! If you end up going, tell them that Chelsea sent you!

4. On our way back home from LeMars, we ran into a severe thunderstorm. This was my first ever MN severe thunderstorm. It was kind of crazy! There was hail on the road, that looked like snow, which made the road super slick to drive on. It was kind of insane! But the view after the thunderstorm, was very beautiful.

5. We're back to our current home now, which means I'm back to work, designing for Etsy, blogging, and thinking about filming. Speaking of work, I just posted these Texas Strong shirts. A portion of the proceeds from the shirts, will be going to Hurricane Harvey relief. Please check them out! Along with work, I'm also catching up on sleep. After the shows, we'd go to jams, and sometimes those could last until 2 or 3 in the morning! But it was so much fun.

I had such a fun week! I hope you guys are having fun too! Hope you guys are having a great week!

Reading: Finished reading I Had A Nice Time And Other Lies by The Betches. Not sure what I'm gonna read next...Probably gonna download something on my iPad. Or place a Barnes and Noble order. Something like that haha.

Watching: Still watching The Originals. Haven't had much time to watch Netflix lately!

Planning: Fun stuff for this weekend! I'm in Minnesota right now, which is actually where I took the picture from that I posted above. Even though I've been on vacation, still planning out blog posts and designs for my Etsy shop.

Loving: Coffee. All of the coffee.
