Reading: Not reading anything again this week. I literally have so many books that I want to read right now, but I just can't get into a book right now. I'm thinking about re-reading You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero, because I really loved it the first time that I read it.

Watching: I really haven't been into watching anything new on Netflix or TV, so I've just been re-watching Jane The Virgin. And really, I haven't been "watching" it, just had it on in the background for some noise when I'm not listening to music.

Planning: Some new releases coming to my Etsy shop this week! I'll be posting about them on Instagram when they're released, and also sending out info in the newsletter.

Thinking About: So. Many. Things.

Loving: Not really sure what I'm loving this week...Probably coffee because I'm always loving coffee.

February Beauty Favorites!

It's March 20th, and I'm just now getting a blog post for my February favorites done. Oops! I'm just a little behind, but that is okay! Normally, I would film a video for my monthly favorites, but right now I just haven't been filming all that much. Anyway, for the month of February, I really didn't try out that many different products. I've honestly just been sticking with my all time favorites that I reach for on a daily basis. I've kind of been stuck in a beauty rut/stuck in my beauty routine haha! You guys know what I'm talking about, you just keep using the same products and don't change it up! With that being said, let's just jump right into my favorites!

-First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: I've been raving about this moisturizer since I first began using it a few months ago. But honestly y'all, this moisturizer has SAVED my skin! My skin looks the best that it has in MONTHS. It keeps my skin nice and hydrated. I love that this moisturizer soaks right into my skin, it doesn't leave my face feeling greasy or anything like that.

-Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: If you've been watching my makeup tutorials, you know that I literally use this ALL THE TIME! It's my all time favorite foundation primer. It just really hydrates my skin, and really adds a nice healthy glow under my foundation. It also really keeps my foundation on my skin all day.

-Maybelline Better Skin Powder in 30 Warm Nude: I know that I'm always mentioning this powder, but it is seriously my favorite powder! I love using it as a setting powder for my foundation. It really just adds the perfect finishing touch to my foundation, and makes my face look flawless. It's not too heavy or cakey or anything like that.

-Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation in 112: This foundation is my FAVORITE drugstore foundation! I know I've been talking about this foundation for awhile, but I'm still loving it! This foundation has the most amazing matte finish. I would say it's a medium to full coverage, but I feel like it's buildable, so you could add more product to get the coverage that you want. I love that it's not heavy on my skin.

-Morphe Bronzed Mocha Palette: Ohhhhmygoshhhhh this eyeshadow palette! I LOVE this palette! First of all, y'all know that I love Morphe. It's such an amazing brand, that is super affordable and the products are amazing quality. I've been loving using this palette lately. The eyeshadows are GORGEOUS! I also have some tutorials planned with this palette coming up soon. I'm not sure if this palette is still available...But I'm pretty sure you can get similar colors in the individual eyeshadows.

-Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara: I feel like lately I've been switching between a few different mascaras, but right now I've been loving this one. This adds a lot of volume to my lashes and makes them look really full. Adds lots of length.

-Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray: This is my all time favorite setting spray! It's my holy grail must have in my makeup kit product! This really keeps my makeup in place ALL day and into the night. It's just the perfect finishing touch to my makeup look.

That is it for my February favorites! What products did you love in February? Let me know in the comments! :)

*Thank you to Influenster for sending me the Marc Jacobs mascara and the Maybelline powder to review! All opinions are honest and my own! :)

Coffee Chat: Volume 26

1. Starting this post on an extremely sad note...My parents dog Frosty passed away suddenly early Thursday morning. She had a heart attack, which I'm not sure why because she was in good health and everything. Even though she was technically my parents dog, I was really close to her. I was just talking to my Mom the other day, about how I wanted to come visit Frosty sometime, which just makes this situation even more heartbreaking.

2. On a happier note, I had a really fun week with friends! You guys know, I don't get too personal here on the blog, but it's been a really fun week. 😊

3. I feel drained this morning...I think it's just because I'm still in shock over losing Frosty. I don't know...

4. It's going to be 70 degrees today! Wooooo!

5. I need more coffee. Give me all the coffee. πŸ˜‚

I hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend!

Reading: Still not reading anything. Really haven't felt like reading lately.

Watching: I haven't been watching any Netflix lately, but last night I did watch The Bachelor. I don't usually get to watch it on Monday nights, I'm usually catching up on Tuesday night haha. Anyway, not going to spoil anything, but I'm really happy with who Nick chose. πŸ’–

Thinking About: A lot.

Planning: Some new items for the Etsy shop. Samples of new possible releases are coming in the mail this week!

Loving: Coffee and spending time with friends.

Coffee Chat: Volume 25

1. I've had another really fun week this week! I know, it's only Friday and the week technically isn't over yet. So, I guess I should say I've had a really fun week so far! πŸ˜‚

2. Would you guys be interested in a live stream on Facebook? I thought about doing a live makeup tutorial or something like that on my Chelseamakeup14 page. Let me know your thoughts!

3. The espresso roast coffee from Starbucks is lifeeeeeeπŸ’–

4. Apparently there's a chance of snow tomorrow because this is Missouri and the weather is constantly changing. Monday we had warm weather and tornadoes. Saturday we're going to have cold weather and snow. Getting all the seasons in this week! πŸ˜‚

5. Ordered some samples of items that will hopefully be going in my Etsy shop soon! Just gotta make sure the colors are going to print right and then they'll be good to go!

I hope you guys have a great Friday and a great weekend! 😊

My First Makeup Event: Bridal Fair Edition

Last month I attended my first makeup event, which was a bridal fair. I had such a blast meeting so many amazing people and potential clients. Now, because this was my first makeup event, I really didn't know what to expect. I did research before the event, but I feel like there were many different things that I would've changed looking back. Today, I thought I'd share with you some of the tips that I learned, that I'm planning on applying the next time I go to a makeup event. I'm hoping that these tips will help any makeup artists out there reading my blog! And these tips aren't just for bridal events, they can be used for any makeup event.

Before The Event:

Set Some Goals: Take a moment to think about why you're going to be attending this event. To gain new clients? To sell a new product or service? Those are just a couple of different reasons why a makeup artist might choose to attend an event. Keep these goals in mind when preparing for the event.

Advertise: Let your following know that you're going to be there! Share the event on social media! I personally chose to use my Facebook page as a way to let everyone know that I was going to be at the event. Instagram and Twitter is also great to use. Social media is the easiest way to reach people.

Prepare Your Team: I did the bridal fair by myself, but if you're going to have more than one person working with you at the event, make sure they're prepared. Make sure they know your prices and what services or products you offer. And maybe even come up with a short little sales pitch they can use when greeting people who stop by your table.

At The Event:

Make It Look Pretty: You're going to want to make sure your table or booth stands out! Dress your table with your products, business cards, brochures, price list, service list, a nice banner, and a tablecloth. At first glance, your table should show what you're offering. And don't forget about having specials! I know at my table, I made a little flyer that if people mention that flyer, they get $10 off their next makeover. Little things like that, really help promote your business! And it's always nice to offer special deals at events.

Be Inviting: Make sure you're smiling and just overall look inviting. Greet everyone who walks by. Stand by your table. Be genuine and authentic.

After The Event:

Assess Your Success: Take a look back at your goals. How well did you do? What did you learn, and what would you do differently next time? Write down the answers to these questions, the answers could be very helpful if you decide to do another makeup event. If you found this event to be successful, then you may want to find more makeup events to sign up for!

I hope these tips and tricks helped you! If you have any tips that you'd like to share, please share them in the comments!
